9. Ready to Start – The Suburbs After the calliope feel of the leadoff title track, “Ready to Start” is a rocker that showcases Arcade Fire’s ability to write a simple pop song. Yet, with one minute left, the tempo changes and the listener wonders if the band is going to take the song off of its proverbial tracks, only to bring it back and rein it in for the ending.
